On-page SEO tutorial

This SEO is the very basic SEO that you need to do on your page or let say start from your site, yourself. You need to dress properly to go to certain event or occasion, right? So if you want to show that you expert in banking/finance you need to wear and dress up your self with very nice and stylish dress. You can’t just come and wear jeans, it is not rellevant anymore and you can not leverage yourself.

It’s the same like dressing for he big event with your website, you need to get it ready first to able to get good SEO score.

You need to have the good structure on your site, or take it as great battle plan and map for your army to go through and win. Here are some of the on-page SEO factors :

  • good website architecture/plan
  • title, description and keywords tag
  • friendly URL and site structure
  • page or post SEO
  • link building
  • image and video optimization
  • sitemap

If you able to see this clearly then the chance you are on the first page of search engine is higher. I can’t promise you instant result but at least this the way I do it and in slow and steady result. Of course along the way there are some great SEO tools you can use. One of my page is moving to 3rd position for main keyword without having dedicated page or post for it (after start in march 2012, this posting date is 25th may 2012).
rank page

I use market samurai to track my rank  for my keyword that I want to target, 80% things I did is on page SEO and couple of backlinking which I use outsource which cost me $10 and web 2.0 by myself. Please don’t throw yourself buying any tools, all my keywords research using google keywords tool (just sign in, so you don’t have captcha every time you search)

Off-page SEO turorial

After you done with on-page SEO now it’s time to look through the next step which is equally important for the search engine, it is off-page SEO.
This strategy it can’t stand by itself, it has everything to do with the on-page SEO.  It’s refer to all the thing you do without touching your website. Most of of it about how to find the effective way to help to boost or some people say juice your site up.
You can look some of the things you can do for off-page SEO :

  • social networking (facebook, twitter, google+, etc)
  • blog/forum comment
  • search engine submission
  • directory submission
  • social bookmarking/web 2.0
  • inbound link
  • press release
  • local listing
  • article directory

You need to do all this one step at a time, you just can’t do everything in one time. It will look unnatural to search engine, specially the off-page SEO things.

What you need to do time to time is always put content to your site, unique content.

Not to worry about number of words, just about 200-300 words per post will do. As long as it is relevant to your niche. For this you need to do some research of keywords of course, to get the best out of it. But if you can’t find one just stuff in your thought and ideas would be great for your website growth and build authority.

Keep on writing and sharing … !
